The Pod enters orbit around a new planet which comes up into view from the bottom of the screen ( people’s perspective ).
The planet ( or pod ) moves dead on, as it, like the other borg debris, is captured by the planets gravitational field, and the pod’s inertia keeps it moving forward.
We see that the planet is Blue, with lots of weather activity.  The Pod grows Smaller as the Planet grows larger ( people’s perspective )
The View now looks like a falling meteor, as seen from space orbit.  The Pod begins to feel the pressure of the atmosphere which grows thicker as the pod drops lower in altitude of the planet.  The planet blackens, begins to smoke, than flames.  First Red than builds to a white hot plasma tracer, with a billowing trail of black smoke.

The Borg Pod / Meteor – whizzes across the sky – crossing overhead of the planet’s surface, which as it passes you can clearly make out one of it’s surface continents.  North American appears from below.  We now realize that’s it’s Planet Earth that the Pod is falling into, however, we don’t know when?
